The BR 200 list of top industry blogs.

This site made it on The BR 200 list of industry blogs. Which is nice.

The list brings together the best advertising, marketing, media, PR and digital blogs from around the world, ranked in terms of traffic and social influence. It’s compiled in collaboration with Brandwatch, the social media monitoring agency, and together we’ll update the list on a monthly basis to ensure it reflects the best bloggers in the industry.

Working with Brandwatch, Brand Republic ranked the blogs by influence using an algorithm that weighted factors including traffic, Mozrank (determined in part by the number of inbound links) Twitter data, and social presence on, for example, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle. “Social Stew”

http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/external/player.swf

BBC Marketing (online) discuss their social media strategy for Series 2 of Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle.

Series 2 of the brilliant BAFTA award-winning comedy started on BBC2 this week.

You can’t embed the show itself – the clip above is a part of the extra content on the site. It’s also got Kevin Eldon performing stand-up, with a new comedian being added each week. Armando Iannucci (The Thick of It, Brass Eye, Alan Partridge) is also involved so the whole thing stinks of quality.

If you missed Episode 1 then watch it on iPlayer before they expire.

Visualising Cyber Attacks on a Server

Couple of interesting concept videos to show what happens when a server comes under attack.

This video is intended to be a high level (if not stylized) visualisation of the early stages of a cyber criminal compromising a VOIP system.

The concept here was simply to provide some ideas as to ways to represent their massive datasets visually.
